How I whiten my nails.

I use a lot of dark colors on my nails and although i always use a base coat they still stain so about once per month I do the following.
Step one-I use a whitening toothpaste that has baking soda in it and a baby toothbrush. I like the baby toothbrushes because they are nice and soft and they fit under nails very well. Apply a small amount of toothpaste to brush and rub on nails and under free edge for about 2 minutes per hand.
Step two-put some hydogen peroxide(3%) in a finger bowl let fingers soak for about 3-4 minutes.then wash and rinse well.
Step three-Soak fingers in warmed olive or almond oil (I prefer almond oil) for about 5 minutes. Although this does help whiten my nails it is very drying so I would not recommend this more than once per month.

Wet and Wild Wet Shine Clear nail protector

I bought this at my local dollar store. This product is not thick or gloopy and has a very nice shine to it.   The dry time is pretty fast around 1 to 2 min. It is Toluene ,formaldehyde and phthalate free.  Finding a product that is free of these chemicals and works at the dollar store was great.I use it mostly as a top coat. If you like top coat that leave a thick coating on your nails then this product is not for you. How ever if you like to apply top coat ever day then I think this product would work very well. It seems to work well with nail art as it does not smear the art when it is applied how ever because it is a thin polish it does not smooth "texture" (ie glitter) out very well.  As a base coat it leaves my nails feeling very strong and looking healthy and shiny. All in all I would say that this product is worth trying out.

Aziza care One Step nail enrichment.

Looking around on line there do not seem to be many reviews for this product. So I figured that I would write one. Right off the bat I want you to know that I have no idea what is in it but I believe it has vitamins A, C, D & E+B5. I bought this at my local dollar store. As with all other Aziza care polishes I have seen this came in a package. Which is always nice to know that the product is "fresh".  I can say that it goes on very smooth and dries pretty quick. Can also double as a sheer nail polish (2-3 coats.) It has a creamy texture and a slight chemically smell (however it is nail polish so scent was expected.) It does seem to help my nails. However I do not know if it any good as a base coat. I have always used this than a base coat, polish topcoat. My nails do feel healthier after using this. but just a precaution like all other nail polish based nail care products it only works when it is on your nail. Please do not think that it will help when removed. The only way for vitiams to continually work is internally ie multi vitiams. I generally use this once or twice a week depending on how often I change manicures.

Review of Nutra Nail Triple Power Nail Strengthener

I have nothing good to say about this product.I am not sure if it strengthens your nails or not as it peeled off of my nails in a matter of hours. As I mentioned in a previous review I have never had an issue with polish peeling from my nails.  Even as cheap as it was ($4.99 CAN) it was a huge waste of money I used it about 5 times. Just to make sure that the first few times were not a fluke. I made sure that my nails were very clean and it peeled off every time. I still have a full bottle and am going to throw it out.

China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat

As promised here is my review of China Glaze fast forward top coat. I bought this because I love China glaze nail polish. I am afraid to say I was a little disappointed. The shine was not as glossy as I like and the staying power was a let down. I had fading on the tips within a day or two. However I did like how fast it dried and the smell was not to awful. However I will not be repurchasing this top coat either.

Seche Vite Top Coat review

After hear all kinds of great things about this top coat and finding it on sale at my local Sally's Beauty Supply I decided to give it a try. After using an entire bottle I have at best mixed feeling about this product. So first I am going to say what I loved about it. The shine is outstanding and the dry time is super fast. Now what I don"t like about it.First is the fact that it shrinks you can prevent this on the tips of your nails by "capping" your nails. However i did not find a way to prevent shrinkage from the area closest to the cuticle or on the sides of the nail. This was most noticeable when I did detailed nail art. Second is the very strong chemical smell. Third is due to the fact that it has a warning label that says "Warning this product contains an ingredient know to the state of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm." I do not feel comfortable using this on my daughter so I went out and bought China Glaze Fast Forward topcoat for use on her.( Review coming up.) I cannot say how the longevity of this top coat is because of the shrinkage it never lasted very long before i was removing it. So after weighting the pros and cons there is no way I will repurchase this. I guess my quest for top coat continues.
