Week 4

Yippee!! Nails are getting there. Free edge is over the tops of my fingers. Going to be applying nail art and am continuing moisturizing. However now I am also going to be applying oil to the underside of my free edge.

Week 3

Nails seem to be slowly growing. Nail treatment does not seem to speeding things up at all. Going back to just moisturizing nails.

Well week one is over and although there is not a huge difference in nail length they did grow a little. Last week all I did was moisturize like crazy. This week I am using a nail growth nail polish. Sally Hansen's continuous growth treatment. So we will see if that makes a difference. Can't wait till my nails are long enough to paint.

One of my nails broke while doing laundry. As I hate the way uneven nails look. I cut them all off. I am going to take this opportunity to see how long it takes my nails to grow, and if all the oil and creams help them to grow faster. I can say one thing for sure the oils and creams helped when my nail broke they usually break into the nail bed and bleed and hurt like crazy. This time although it did break far down it did not effect the nail bed. I will be dating the pictures for when they were taken not when they are posted. Sometimes life gets busy and it may take me a bit to post them.

Hoofers Choice follow up

I have been using this product religiously since I got it and I have to say that I think I am in love lol. My nails are stronger and  my cuticles have never looked so good. In fact I am thinking that this would be a great gift for all the women in my life (mother sister and in laws) I wish I could convince my husband to try this but he is a real guys guy and any thing that sounds "girly " he is totally not interested in at all. I would highly recommend this product to any one while remembering that it is thick and makes your fingers a little greasy for a while. I have found that bed time is the perfect time to use this when it does not matter how greasy your nails are. I have also been using olive oil during the day both around the cuticle and under the nail. However I have always done this. In fact it was because of the fact that I was not thrilled with the moisture levels in my cuticles and nails that I tried this cream to begin with.

This is my first time using this product and I am sorry to say it was a disappointment. Lets start at the initial reaction. It fizzes a lot  which is a good thing as it stays with the claim on the package,strong minty smell. Directions tell you to pour content of package into warm (not hot) water and immerse your fingers for five minutes. The problem started when I took my  hands out of the water. I washed my hands and scrubbed them with a nail brush and my nails felt "slimy". I did not really notice any whitening or if there was some it was negligible.I have posted pictures so that you can see and decide for yourselves if there was whitening.  After drying my hands my nails and cuticles felt very dry and tight. The package claims it moisturized nails and cuticles so I did not find that this product was very good at all and will not be re buying it. 

Hoofers choice nail and cuticle cream review

So I just bought a jar of Hoofers Choice nail and cuticle cream. Put some on after washing my hands. seems to moisturize well. Definitely got rid of the dry feeling on my hands and my nails do seem to have more shine. But only time will tell. The tub says to apply generously how ever i have found that a little goes a long way. Will probably use more before I go to bed. The smell is medicinal and fades fast (within one to two minutes). The cream is a little thick but as I like that it is not an issue for me. Also it does seem to absorb relatively fast (about five to ten minutes). I will also try this on my daughters nails as they are in worse shape then mine.Will post how the cream is on her as well in my next post.

First time

This is my first blog so I hope that you will be patient as I figure out how this works. My plan for this space is to share my nail art journey both the successes and failures. My nails are not super long. I was having problems coming up with a name and my husband mentioned this one. Also some other things that I really enjoy for example I love high heels and corsets. As far as corsets goes I am not trying to get a little waist just a couple if inches. Thank you for reading this and I hope to have it all figured out soon.
